~One Tin Soilder~

A Quitter's Version..

Listen, Quitnet, to a story
That was written long ago,
'Bout some quitters on a mountain
And the demon-spawn below.

On the mountain was a treasure
Buried deep beneath the stone,
And the demon-spawn swore
He'd have it for his very own.

Go ahead and help your neighbour,
Go ahead and make a friend.
Do it in the name of Quittin',
You will thank yourself in the end.
There'll be so many people cheering
Come your milestone day,
And your buddies sing long after....
One brave quitter leads the way.

So the demon in the valley
Sent a message up the hill,
Asking for just one more chance
To lure them in for the slow kill.

Came an answer from the quitters,
"One more smoke, we will not bear
All the secrets on our mountain,
All our hopes are buried here."

Go ahead and help your neighbour,
Go ahead and make a friend.
Do it in the name of Quittin',
You will thank yourself in the end.
There'll be so many people cheering
Come your milestone day,
And your buddies sing long after....
One brave quitter leads the way.

Now the demon cried with anger,
"Grab your lighter! Find your hoard!"
The brave Q-heros just turned their backs,
So they won their just reward.

Now they stood beside their treasure,
On the mountain, they never fled
Turned the stone and looked beneath it...
"Keep your Quit" was what it said.

Go ahead and help your neighbour,
Go ahead and make a friend.
Do it in the name of Quittin',
You will thank yourself in the end.
There'll be so many people cheering
Come your milestone day,
And your buddies sing long after....
One brave quitter leads the way.

Go ahead and help your neighbour,
Go ahead and make a friend.
Do it in the name of Quittin',
You will thank yourself in the end.
There'll be so many people cheering
Come your milestone day,
And your buddies sing long after....
One brave quitter leads the way.
